Maria B is Women,s Own Designer

One may argue but today,s fact is Maria B with this year's collection has stollen a march on her competitors. Where other lawn designers have given a limited and dull prints, Maria B has introduced such colors which are close to life. Take the green for example, hardly any other designer has added this color to his/her 2013 collection but Maria B has not only welcomed the spring with this bright color but also have introduced a new trend. And the trend is 'Wear whichever color you like' !

It's not just the game of introducing Lawn Collection, a good designer depicts his/her soul into the collection, but few with aesthetic sense can understand this naive yet deep philosophy.

Take another instance, if somebody asks you a question "What color would you like to wear this summer"? What would you say ? That color Emerald Green ! Which has been copied by all brands and even the departmental store staff wearing the color for this season ! Well, the correct answer would be, "I would wear the color i like" That's right ! summer is the season where one can wear all colors, specially bright colors. Now, check online, which designer has given an extensive thought to this idea and have added all summer colors to her Collection ? Jofa ? No ! Sania Maskatia? No! It's the Maria B who has given the complete range of summer colors !

My observation is, arguable though, Maria B Collection 2013 has gone even a step further into the direction of Customer,s Comfort. She has worn the customer,s shoe before bringing this collection into the market. She feels what her ladies like to wear in summer.

Nida Azwer Lawn Exhbition 2013 Starting country wide from 15th March to 18th March.

Nida Azwer Lawn Exhibition 2013.

Nida Azwer has been designing and working in fashion under the aegis of her eponymous label since 2005, only one month after she graduated from the prestigious Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture. Her label includes a Prêt a Porter line, Haute Couture and Bridal lines. Nida herself was nominated for the coveted Lux Style Award for Best Emerging Talent in 2008 and won the best designer award at the Nesvita Women of Strength Awards in 2009. The same year Nida held her debut solo show in Karachi, featuring both Prêt a Porter and Haute Couture to the acclaim of press, fashionistas and industry stalwarts alike.
Everything made under the Nida Azwer label is hand-worked in Pakistan using only pure fabrics including Irish linen, chiffons, hand-woven silks and brocade. Indeed Nida Azwer is best known for infusing her label with attention to detail, innovative cuts, silhouettes and tailoring.

The label is currently available at the Nida Azwer studio in Karachi at 13-C, Sunset Lane 5, Phase 2 extension, DHA, at Ensemble in both Lahore and Karachi and at Labels in Faisalabad. Internationally, the brand is available in Dubai at Soiree and in London at Zainab Alam’s boutique.

Zunuj Lakhany Lawn by One of the oldest textile mills Silk Mills Pvt. Ltd is known for its colorful prints and high quality fabric. Being and old name in the Textile industry, Silk Mills have never compromised on quality and exquisite prints even when the cotton prices are sky rocketing high in the country.

Sania Maskatiya,s Exhibition in Karachi - Pictures and Review

Not to exaggerate but "Exquisite" is the perfect word to elaborate Sania Maskatiya,s recent Exhibition held in Karachi. The interior, the designs, the crowd, refreshment, trained staff and above all the Prints.

Held in Palm Marquee Karachi, the ambiance was electrifying. What I saw on the exhibition was surprising if not shocking. Nearly 200 hundred females, mostly middle aged, following a queue and waiting for their turn to buy their required pieces. That was not a usual scene to me since i knew that there were couple of other exhibitions going parallel in the city ; at the same day and same time. ( the other two were Threads and Motifs, Maria B,) Indeed Sania Maskatiya,s prints were above all those designers in this particular season.

Starting from the car parking, it took me nearly 15 minutes to find a reasonable corner to park my vehicle, as there were, around 300 plus vehicles parked in front of the Venue and on both sides of the road, making almost impossible to let go the going traffic.

Reception was more relaxing though, as there were many good faces around, making an air of pleasant, peaceful yet vibrant atmosphere.

As i moved further and into the main hall, a sea like vast hall embedded with great looking White Color Scheme amalgamated with expensive looking interior dazzled my eyes. "Imagine some huge white Palace from Hollywood movies, seeing it live and you would lose your heart then and there". Beautiful dove like simple yet elegant layout of the exhibition.

On the left hand side there was a neatly dressed music band plying mix trance and mesmerizing the customers. The immediate effect of such atmosphere was, customers were so easy and comfortable in moving about and shopping that all they wanted was a perpetual stay.

Another high mark by the designer was the arrangement of refreshment right in the center of the hall, so if you would feel an appetite, a quick bite to a muffin or chocolate tart would refresh you for further shopping.

Different TV channels were all around, covering and making reports of the exhibition.

But one thing was certainly missing, and that was the presence of Designer herself. Had she been among the people, they would have felt more comfortable and more zealous in shopping.

Pink faced, fair complexioned, bold eyes, cheerful and attractive personality and affable communication. The designer Maria B, goes about from one mic to another giving detailed description of her 2013 collection. A glimpse on her face and you can easily tell she is excited and expecting marvelous response against her long tiring hard work over Maria B. Collection 2013.

The First look of the exhibition is peaceful and placid. From the entrance to the main hall - on your right hand, comes the red carpet, flashes of cameras, bright and sharp litter of camera -lights, dozens of channels holding mic to the Woman of the Night Maria B. Excuses of photographers, each endeavors to take the best shot of the person focused. And few imitated hellos and hi,s of celebrities. Its indeed a fascinating scene.

On your left is the sitting area, meant for the guests to sit and relax while their family are busy in shopping inside the main hall where a vast area displaying the exuberant prints by the designer. Not to forget on each side, red carpet and sitting area, mannequin displaying the best prints of Maria B collection 2013.

As you step inside the main hall, as far as your goes your sight, the spring colors scheme and beautiful prints of Maria B worn by the hairless mannequins welcome you. And stopping for each print you wish to grab it promptly and imagine yourself wearing it. ( the comment Applies on ladies only ). To the extreme end there are two sale counters, made for the convenience of the customers. Each mannequin provides two necessary information in labels, one, Price of the Article , two, the code of the article. So once you have chosen a print, you can tell the sale staff which prints you are interested in by providing the code.

Almost in the center of the hall, there is created a green carpeted ramp for the show, giving an energetic green look, to the sides of the ramp imitated green trees are erected, giving the Green house effect and welcoming the spring. A beautiful and mesmerizing look though !

Little late though, but the show starts near well past 7, but again displaying the marvels of the designer.

Cheering laughters, half hugs, cheeks touching formalities, applause and words of appreciation followed by acknowledgement ends the exhibition. Except the few who wanted to have pictures with the gorgeous Maria B.
