I was driving through a popular road of Karachi with a friend, when suddenly my eyes fell on a huge hoarding board glittered with fluorescent lights and exuberantly lined up nearly two dozen of advertisements ( sponsors ). But before my eyes could send a well concluded message to my brain what actually was that hoarding about, I crossed underneath the board.
Next day another friend bolt from the blue, asked me "Emmad did you see the add of thatnew theater play CinderJutt"? ( on a local TV channel ). I looked at him, and immediately last night picture fell before my eyes. I wanted to know more about it, so I pretended " yeah I saw a hoarding last night somewhere, whats that CinderJutt Thing"?
"Common dude" he said in his particularly dramatically yet Desi tone." Is it an another Turkish dubbed play"? I asked in a joking tone ( Turkish dubbed plays are hugely popular these days in our country, in fact have become a bone of contention between artists and channels )

"No, yaar, its new theatre play directed by a young Director Javeed, and feed back is its a great entertaining play" announced my friend. "Acha" I said and didn't seem much interested, since we had seen number of theatre plays together in the Karachi Arts Council and each time my friend,s "feeds" were immaculately "Good". So I was like "Daikhty hein"
Same day-late night while i was working on one of my blogs, the CinderJutt add appeared on a TV channel, and What did i see, " There is good looking guy, in a male servant get up, sleeping on a couch, smiling in his dream, ( probably dreaming about a girl ) and as he roles to his side Gharmm ! He goes on the ground " The add was too short to get a clue out of it, yet, i made up my mind, i was going to watch the play.
So, yeah, the advertisement took me to the theater.
Well, I am not going to break the suspense or ruin the excitement of the play, but will give u clues and hint and little outline. Say it its an appetizer.
CinderJutt is an extracted name of Cinderella ( in a funnier way ). The story is exactly the same but instead of Cinderella here you will find a CinderJutt.
Cast :
The cast consists of very talented young artists, few NAPA students and others self skilled. But the fairest part of the play is Its a complete package. Songs, dance, jokes, performance, execution, sets, lighting, creativity, wardrobe and of-course Security.

Rodney Perriera ( Fairy God Father ) a very comic character, which appears time to time during the play and keep the audience knitted to the play.

Nabeel Awan ( Master Jani )
Usman Mazhar ( Assistant dir and very talented actor, playing the role of Shouki- a Gay fashion Designer.)
Kami Baig ( Uncle Deen ) his very admired dialogue " joke tha Gee"
Rabia Lagari ( Bobi Jutt ) super talented lady, great expressions and totally loyal to her character
Shameen Khan ( Gulabo ) very energetic artist
Saqib Sumeer ( Gogi Jutt )
Costume Designer : Parkha Khan
Again I am not going o elaborate the story, but mark my words its a great entertains play.
