Malhotra is finally ready with his second film, also a romantic flick like his debut I Hate Luv Storys. That film featured Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor.
For his second film, titled Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (GTPM) for Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, he has retained Imran, pairing him with Kareena Kapoor, after Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (EMAET), helmed by Shakun Batra. Accprding to a report in Times of India.
Though the casting is the same as EMAET, Punit insists that the two films are poles apart. He says, "I was very keen to have Imran in the film and when we were looking for a female lead, Kareena came on board. Apart from the fact that both films are love stories, there is nothing similar between them. We will be mostly shooting in a village and were looking for a quirky name. The title has been derived from a song and when Karan made the suggestion, we loved it. GTPM was apt, because it sounded both unusual and urbane."
The film will go on floors on March 1. Kareena is already working out to look her part and has apparently lost a few pounds. "I love Kareena the way she is. She looks hot and is cute. I would have happily started shooting, but I believe she is toning up for her part," says Punit.
Ask him about Imran's look in the film and he says it is being worked out. The actor, Punit says, will start shooting for GTPM immediately after wrapping up his current project.
