Learn to make different Hair Styles

PAULA YATES – With her short and punky crop, Paula Yates set the trend for scruffy peroxide-blonde hair.

ALEXA CHUNG – Those tousled ombre waves - worn with or without a fringe – only serve to make Alexa's laid-back style more covetable.

LINDA EVANGELISTA – The supermodel's short Nineties hairstyle showed off her striking features to full effect.

DIANA ROSS – Diana Ross' afro was as iconic as hairstyles get, and cemented her status as a Motown diva.

CHERYL COLE – Whether she's on the stage or the red carpet, it's rare to see Cheryl without a glamorous, voluminous blow-dry.

MADONNA – An icon in every sense of the word, Madonna's super-high Blonde Ambition ponytail is almost as instantly recognisable as she is.

JULIE CHRISTIE – Plenty of height at the crown made Julie Christie the perfect Sixties hair icon.

KYLIE MINOGUE – Such a tiny person, but such an enormous perm – Kylie's bouncy curls made her an Eighties hair icon.

AMY WINEHOUSE – The oversized beehive – along with the winged eyeliner – made Amy Winehouse's look an iconic one, and was referenced by Jean Paul Gaultier in his spring/summer 2012 couture show.
MEG RYAN – The actress' blonde shaggy hairstyle was devised by hairdresser John Frieda.

SHIRLEY TEMPLE – When people talk about "Shirley Temple curls", this is what they're referring to – the springy ringlets the child star started sporting in around 1931.

ALICE DELLAL – A severe punky undercut on one side, paired with bleached blonde waves on the other, represents Dellal's eclectic style.
JUDY GARLAND – As dreamy teenager Dorothy in The Wizard of OzJudy Garland's hair was styled into centre-parted ringlet pigtails.

GWEN STEFANI – The singer and fashion designer is known for her platinum blonde hair, and this impressive rolled style – worn at the 2006 Billboard Awards – is definitely one of her most memorable.

CLEOPATRA - When you think of Cleopatra, you think of a dramatic black bob and a very blunt fringe - as portrayed by Elizabeth Taylor in the film Cleopatra

COCO CHANEL – Chanel's dark, cropped hairstyle set the trend for shorter hair in the Twenties.

RIHANNA - Appearing on our list for the second time, Rihanna also memorably had her hair cut into an undercut in 2008, marking the introduction of her new, edgier style.
PRINCESS LEIA – Carrie Fisher'sStars Wars character famously wore her hair in buns on either side of her head, in a style that has now become legendary.

JOAN HARRIS – Christina Hendricks' Mad Men character rarely strays from her signature pinned beehive – a look much-copied since the show launched to international acclaim in 2007.
