Midnight in Paris, new fragrance for men Van Cleef & Arpels is arriving in a dark blue glass flacon, which gives an illusion of starry sky.
The perfume was created by perfumers Domitille Bertier and Olivier Polge who enriched it with floral notes. Among them you can find accentuated lily of the valley and citrusy notes with luminous lemon. Its dark aura arises from tonka beans, while incense adds a mysterious note.
The fragrance hits the shelves in September 2010.
Amazing fragrance, and a steal at that. I purchased the EDP version. MiP opens up a little harsh. Similar to Bulgari's Black, but more calm. This burnt leather accord stays for about 30 minutes to an hour. It is backed by not overpowering sweet and resiny notes. Then the tea creeps in as the leather fades. The tea and resin mix in an amazing way, it makes the tea almost sparking and creamy. After this fades you are left with what I believe is the best part. A Tonka, benzoin incense drydown, with a hint of nuttiness to top it off. It is very warm and inviting, but light at the same time. I blind bought this and am very impressed with it.
Scent: 8 out of 10
Longevity: 8 out of 10
Projection: 8 out of 10 ( it lasted 8+ hours on me and I still had a nice scent bubble.)
Versatility: 8 out of 10 (You can wear this any time, anywhere, as long as it's not blisteringly hot outside.)
