National Board Of Review Awards

AWARDS season is heating up - the Golden Globes takes place this Sunday, the BAFTA nominations were announced today, the Oscar nominations come out tomorrow - and the National Board of Review Awards in New York could be considered a warm-up as there were plenty of Hollywood stars out to celebrate.

Jessica Chastain looks set to be one of the most celebrated actresses of the season and wore an Alexander McQueen dress to collect the night's Best Actress award her role in Zero Dark Thirty.

The Les Misérables cast was out in force to toast the film being named not only Best Ensemble Cast, but also one of the year's Top Films - alongside Argo, Django Unchained, Silver Linings Playbook, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Lincoln, Looper and Promised Land. Anne Hathaway chose a tuxedo from Hedi Slimane's debut Saint Laurent collection for the occasion, while Amanda Seyfried was in a Bottega Veneta nude studded dress.

Jessica Chastain collected the Best Actress award, for her role in Zero Dark Thirty, wearing an Alexander McQueen dress with Charlotte Olympia peep-toe heels.

Amanda Seyfried in a Bottega Veneta studded dress, Alexandre Birman shoes and Norman Silverman earrings. The actress celebrated multiple wins for her film, Les Misérables, including Best Ensemble and Top Film.

Ben Affleck wore Gucci to collect the Special Achievement in Filmmaking award for Argo, which he both directed and starred in.

Emily Blunt wore a nude Emilio Pucci dress, Stuart Weitzman metallic heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery.

Bradley Cooper - winner of the Best Actor award for Silver Linings Playbook – in a Gucci suit.

Leonardo DiCaprio was honoured with the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in Django Unchained.

Daniel Craig wore a grey suit, sky blue shirt and overcoat to attend the awards.
