"…Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest." Quran (13:28)
On normal days some people never pray or make dua, when tragedy strikes in their lives the first thing they do is remember Allah and make dua. They will do that until they their problem is solved. But once it's solved and they are back to good days they will forget Allah. No matter how perfect one's life is as long as you don't remember Allah you will not find peace in anything. Everything in our lives is temporarily such as wealth, fame, youth, friends, family, etc but if we remember Allah in good times Allah will remember us in bad times. During bad times our family and friends might not support us when we need them the most, but Allah is very merciful at all times and he never forgets His servant.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, would often tell his Companions, "Shall I tell you about the best of deeds, the most pure in the sight of your Lord, about the one that is of the highest order and is far better for you than spending gold and silver, even better for you than meeting your enemies in the battlefield where you strike at their necks and they at yours?" The Companions replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Remembrance of Allah."
Create peace in your inner world in order to prepare yourself to successfully face external hardships.
Allah Ta'ala says:"Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest." (Ar-Ra'd: 28)
Be with Allah by loving Him, turning to Him in all your affairs, by obeying His commands out of love, thanks and servanthood, You will find Allah with you, for He is "closer to you than your jugular vein," and He does not let the efforts of those who seek Him go to waste.
