Goes an old saying "Pigeon associates to pigeons and hawk associates to hawks" Means people of particular clan communicates to people of the same community. Or they choose people of same class they belong to.
Extracting the meaning of the proverb and applying on our fashion industry, it will read as "Exclusive designers heir the exclusive models" ( for their shoots ).
To many fashion lovers and even to some fashion professional the meaning of Label is obscure. They believe, giving a name to their collection and hiring any Tom, Dick and Harry Model for their brand shoot will work and over night they will become a Super Successful Couture Designer. They brutally chop the fashion designing profession with such school of thought.
Label or Band is not made or sketched over night with the pomp and show advertising techniques or huge erected fluorescent billboards. But a brand takes years of hard work, thousands of rough sketches, consulting and rejecting hundreds of ideas and when a final master piece is created, an exquisite face matching the band is hired. A face who can present the work of art as masterly as created by the designer. Done with such requisite emerges a name which we call a Brand.
